On Friday May 18th - Twelve Janesville elementary schools will visit the Daluge Dairy Farm and Arndt Farms, Inc. While on these two farms, the FFA members will serve as tour guides and teach the 4th grade students about where their food comes from. The stations at the Daluge dairy farm will include milking, milk house, calf huts (pictured here), small animals, Farm Safety, Dairy Products with ice cream, horses, and the free stall barn. 
While at the Arndt Farms, the students will see the beef feedlot, augie wagon and feeds, machine shop and equipment, sheep, mint, swine, wildlife, and how soybeans and corn are being used as something other than feed. Here are all the FFA members infront of the machinery station.
Prior to the farm tour, each of the classrooms are visited by FFA members. Use the power point game attached to the forms and applications to present to the classrooms.

The Craig FFA will be conducting its spring plant sale on beginning on Wednesday May 9th at 10 a.m. The ending time is 6 p.m. on this date.
The plant sale will continue on Thursday May 10th and Friday 11th from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday May 12th the plant sale will begin at 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Students will also have plants at the Janesville Farmers Market on Saturday May 12th 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
This year we are trying to protect our environment and will be going "GREEN" with some of our hanging baskets. They are made out of 100% recylced paper which can be composted and returned to the earth at the end of the growing season. The hangers are swivel, not swing and will contain some very nice Proven Winner plants.
