On Thursday Sept. 25th twenty members of Wildlife Ecology class set out on a fishing trip to Lake Koshkonong.    Before departing on the trip class, members learned how to read a lake map, boater safety, fish identification, fishing regulations, and how to prepare gear for fishing.

Joey, JoJo, Cody, and Bentley work the shoreline for bass.

Joe reels in a catfish!

Several nice fish were caught by our shore fishing group.

Matt, Colton, Tyler and Tyler get ready to cast from the shore.

Mr. Shanklin show us how big of fish he caught.  Thanks for helping chaperone and for taking kids onto the lake.

Alex and Joe get the "Sea Cow" ready to go.

The day turned out to be beautiful and the fish did not want to bite as much as we had hoped, but it was still better than going to school for the day!

Some fish were saved for a future class taxidermy project and the rest were used in the shore lunch on Monday!
